I don’t know about you, but there have been so many times that I have been to the Magic Kingdom with an agenda to get on this certain ride, and meet this particular character that I have missed some amazing opportunities to make my trip even more magical and memorable.
I thought that I would share with you a few things that we have done.
Watch the performers that put on mini shows all around the park.
The main street singers are incredible.
Here is a picture of a show by the sword in the stone. One lucky person will be chosen to be the hero of the magic kingdom and can pull out the sword. They were very funny and entertaining.
Let your little princess get sprinkled with magical pixie dust in the dress shop behind the carousel.
Get the most out of your character meets.
When you meet characters ask them questions and wait for their hilarious answers and reactions.
For example, ask Mary Poppins is she can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious backwards.
Ask Chip and Dale who is the best dancer and they will have a dance off.
Ask Alice if she has seen the white rabbit today and she will usually tell you this outrageous story.
Find new and unusual places to eat you’r meals.
We usually pack our lunches , so we like to find new and unusual places to eat .
1. Eat on the people mover while it takes you around tomorrow land.
2. Eat on the train while you get the back tour of the MK
3. Little table and chairs at the end of a little street on main street.
4. Tom sawyers island has picnic tables a d other neat spots to have a picnic
5. The pretty green grass in front of the castle.
Eat something new.
If you eat at the park, try out something that you have never had before. We usually try one new thing each trip, whether it be a drink, snack, dessert or new meal item. Also, Disney is great at having special treats that fit the season or event.
The Tangled lantern photo op
At night , they will sometimes have someone holding a lantern from the movie tangled. You get to hold the lantern for a one of kind magical disney photo. We have not had the chance to do this, but we have passed by while they were doing it and it looks so amazing!!!
Play an interactive pirate game.
Help Captain Jack Sparrow find treasure. They have this fun interactive game that you get a map that sends you to different locations in search of the treasure. There are 5 maps. You get to keep the map and get cards as a keepsake when you are done with each one. Complete a few and there might be a special surprise waiting for you. 😉
Find a special place to watch fireworks.
If you can time it just right, watch the fireworks while riding splash mountain. It’s high up so you see the castle from up there and there is a small river ride before the drop and it will give you a different view of the gorgeous fireworks.
Free special occasion button pins.
Get a free button pin for special occasions from at the guest relations office in the front.
They have things like first visit, birthday, anniversary, just married.
And to make it even better , ask them to not write your name on the button and take it back to the christmas /ornament shop in liberty square and they will personalize it for 3.00!!!
Pin trading is loads of fun. They have special places throughout the park that you can trade. Here is the one from Tony’s restaurant.
This one was at the Beauty and the beast store across from Gastons tavern.
Most of the cast members have their own lanyards or bags with pins to trade as well.
This is just a small list of ways to make Disney even more magical. I would love to hear about things that you have done so I can try them out as well.
